INSTRUCTIONS - Rear Hidden Winch Cradle (Isuzu D-Max 2020 to Current - 4JJ3) Posted on 26 Nov 12:06 , 0 comments

Installation Guide:

The installation of the Munji Hidden Winch Cradle requires good mechanical and tool knowledge. It is important to follow these instructions; it requires you to cut metal and correctly line up the Bracing Straps.

N.B: NEVER REST ANY PART OF YOUR BODY UNDER A VEHICLE OR HEAVY COMPONENTS UNLESS YOU HAVE SUFFICENT SUPPORTS AS WELL AS THE JACK. A HEAVY WEIGHT CAN SLIP OFF A JACK OR THE SUPPORTS. PLEASE ALWAYS BE CAREFUL AND KEEP YOUR PHONE WITHIN REACH IN THE CASE OF THE UNEXPECTED.

  1. Remove spare tyre.
  2. Remove bolts holding rear towbar up from underneath chassis rail, leave side bolts in place to ensure towbar does not move.
  3. If you have no bodylift or 1 inch bodylift, place the supplied billet alloy spacers on the wings of the winch cradle. Bolt winch to cradle and run wires to winch. Carefully lift up winch cradle with a jack or someone assisting, and fit to the lower chassis holes using bolts provided. The rear hole is not threaded so use the supplied nut internally in the rail to secure that mount.  The winch outlet should face the rear of the vehicle.
  4. Remove number plate and drill 2x 40mm holes and slot or 1 big slot for fairlead. Fit fairlead using crush tubes and bolts provided. We recommend refitting the number plate with swing bracket.
  5. When wiring up the winch make sure to follow their instructions and retention the rope/cable as part of the first test.

It is always important to go for a short test drive and re-check all nuts are tight.
