What is this?
Munji custom designed alloy intercooler pipes, being a direct replacement for the factory rubber hoses. We have made use of a lower silicone angle to allow the movement of the engine to be absorbed through rather than risking breaking off the plastic MAF pipe from the intake manifold. This is an important design feature knowing these engines do float around on the mounts more than most.
What are the benefits?
The original rubber intercooler pipes expand under boost, which can cause lag and also fatigue over time which can rupture.
The hard pipe upgrade:-
- Aesthetically pleasing;
- Is stronger, will not expand under boost or fatigue;
- Has built-in barb fitting for attaching a boost gauge; and
- Comes with silicon joiners, which are more durable than the original rubber joiners, and will withstand must higher boost levels.
All these benefits suit a standard to a highly modified vehicle, with a standard front mount intercooler.
- No Boost Fitting; or
- 1/8 npt 6mm angled barb.
N.B. All kits come with a female welded fitting with a 1/8 NPT thread. This means you can order the "No Boost fitting" which is fitted with a blank grub screw and change back anytime if you wish to get tuned or for boost reference.
Tools required - Small socket set and cleaning rag.
