What is this?

A Front mounted transmission cooler kit for the 2020 Onwards D-Max, MU-X and Mazda BT-50s. This kit comes with a Huge 45,000 BTU, Canadian made Fin and Plate Cooler from Tru-Cool. This is a fantastic oil cooler with massive surface area and minimal restriction. This kit also includes all brackets to make it bolt on, Oil Hose, Hose Clamps and AN Fittings for the oil lines. We have kept it as low as possible to maximise airflow to the intercooler, however there is also provision for 1 or 2 fans to be bolted to the mounting bracket, which aids with heatsoak and airflow to both the transmission cooler and intercooler! 

Built to suit a 10” SPAL or Maradyne Fan.

What are the benefits?

Having a large transmission cooler like this will help maintain healthy transmission temperatures and reduce overheating and burning your transmission fluid, particularly when towing or working the vehicle hard on the beach. If you are also pushing more power and torque through your vehicle this is also something you need to be mindful of.

Another benefit, if you run the additional fan/s is the reduction in heat soak at slow speeds. Heat soak is caused by more heat being put into the intercooler then it can shed through heat transfer, which in turn, heats up the intercooler, resulting in loss of efficiency.

A fan mounted in front of the intercooler, forces fresh air through the intercooler, even with no outside air speed e.g. whilst stationary. This dramatically reduces heat soak.

Options Available

This is designed to allow a fan on the RHS (Driver Side) or LHS (Passenger Side) of the intercooler, with an additional bracket. You can also choose no fan if you don't want to run a fan.
