What is this and what are the benefits?

This is a replacement silicone pipe seal, designed to be a replacement of the original rubber seal in the cold pipe. The factory rubber seal is easily lost or damaged, and grows hard with age.

This seal is 'sticky' compared to the factory rubber, with a smooth body design that allows for better sealing via more surface area. They are a slightly tighter fit compared to standard to help ensure a tight seal as well. When installing the cold pipe with this seal, you MUST loosen the intercooler bolts so the pipe can pivot down onto the barb of the throttle body, to prevent damage to the seal, and hairspray MUST be applied to the seal so it can slide easily over the barb.

What testing of this product has been done?

This product has been tested to 32 PSI on a tuned 4JJ1, with no issues.
